Some of the images, like my Dad at the Statue of Liberty, were beyond priceless. When he came to the US as a doctor from the Philippines in the 1950's, I know he must've thought his "American Dream" was finally coming true. And the footage of him becoming an American citizen a few years later, further documented the realization of his dream.

"The DVD arrived today and worked perfectly!!  WOW--WOW--and a triple WOW.
Oh yes--tears as well.  These two reels were shot in 1955 into late 1959.  Although my wife, kids and I have watched the movies in past years, I'd say it has been 20 to 30 years since we looked at them.  None of our 17 grand kids OR 7 great grand kids have ever seen them. (The great grand kids are a little young to understand right now).

"Hello, I've been meaning to write and thank you for the incredible work you did on the 8mm reels we sent to you. One reel, in particular, which showed a WWII-era wedding, was especially important to us. The groom was my mother-in-law's older brother. He was a fighter pilot and died while flying in a training mission off of Block Island, NY, just 15 days after the wedding took place. His body was never found.
My mother-in-law had been unable to attend the wedding, and didn't even have any pictures from it. Somewhere along the line someone in the bride's family had sent her that film reel, but she'd never had the right equipment to view it. She is 86 now, and he was her only sibling, so it was an incredible thing to be able to pop that DVD into her computer and see her response. Although we hadn't planned it as such, it made for a very special Mother's Day gift to her.

"I would like to commend your company on a job well done. I did some research on line in early December and decided to use your company to transfer my parents 8mm films to DVD. On December 7, 2009, I mailed you 30 three inch and 3 seven inch, 8mm reels to be transferred to DVD’s as a Christmas gift for my parents. All of these 8mm reels were once under water due to Hurricane Isabel that flooded the shores of Maryland in September 2003. I asked Just 8mm.com to try to recover any of the film if possible. To my surprise on December 18th, I received 3 DVD’s shipped overnight (at my request).
The DVD’s were given to my Mom as a Christmas gift. I have to tell you, my Mom was overwhelmed and cried as she watched her old movies on DVD. She could not believe any of the film was able to be saved....Yesterday, January 5th, I was able to take my laptop computer and show Dad the DVD. "UPS delivered my order today: fourteen old family movies; three old commercially-produced wildlife films; one audio recording of my first impressions of college life away from home for the first time... and the DVDs and CD that you created from them. None of the films were in excellent condition; I knew that. All of them were forty-five or fifty years old. The audio tape was forty-four years old.

I have just spent the last two hours looking at and listening to all of them. Words do not sufficiently express the joy this has brought to me.  My children and my grandchildren will now have the opportunity to see their father, grandparents, great-grandparents, and great-great-grandparents... as they were in the 1940s and 1950s.  What a fantastic treasure you have created for us!"

"I just want to thank you all for doing such a wonderful job getting some of our family's old home movies onto DVD.
I received my order yesterday and watched the DVD last night. It was so cool to see everyone so young and vital. The only thing missing
